Father, in the name I pray
Of thy incarnate Love;
Humbly ask, that as my day (Deut. 33:25)
My suffering strength may prove;
When my sorrows most increase, (John 16:20)
Let thy strongest joys be given;
Jesu, come with my distress,
And agony is heaven.

Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
For good remember me! (Neh. 13:31)
Me, whom thou hast caused to trust
For more than life on thee; (Ps. 63:3)
